Chanukah celebrates the rededication of the temple after it was desecrated by the Greeks. The most widely known feature of the holiday is the lighting of candles in a menorah, a nine-branched candelabra.
Kenesseth Israel usually celebrates Chanukah with a family dinner, party, and Torah Bowl. More information will be posted before the holiday.
